Need a Stand Lifter and a Passive Lifter
but tight on space?

At Highgate Healthcare we believe you can have the best of both worlds.

Combo lifters and multi lifters, what are they and are they an effective use of your budget?
There is not a category of "multi" or "combo" lifters, these are actually the Market names of two specific products namely the Arjo Combi Lifter and K Care's Multi lifter.

We are often asked "do you have a lifter that can facilitate both Standing Transfers (also known as Active Lifts) and Sling Lifters (also known as Passive Lifts)?".

In short, the answer is yes!

However, we believe that this may not always be the best use of your budget. Typically, facilities will require both these functions however it is important to consider the total cost of ownership and the user experience.

At Highgate Healthcare we recommend that you look at purchasing two hoists, specifically the Oxford Journey and Oxford Advance, if you require a higher safe working load then look at the Oxford Presence.

This is because for effectively the same budget amount you can have two hoists in use at the same time. Each Oxford hoist is designed specifically for its purpose raising the standard of care for those in care and those caring. this is due to improved ergonomics for the care giver and utilising the unique cow horn design of the Journey to provide the most natural stand transfer.
